The 1986 Listening Post - W.A.S.P. - Inside the Electric Circus

W.A.S.P. - Inside the Electric Circus

#407/2086
September 1986
W.A.S.P.
Inside the Electric Circus
Genre: Hair Metal
2.75 out of 5

Highlights:
9.5. - N.A.S.T.Y.

Requisite 80s cover:
“I Don’t Need No Doctor” by Ray Charles. Not as blatant an attempt to sell a single as other bands would do, but also not really much of a needed thing.
“Easy Living” by Uriah Heep. At least Lawless can’t be accused of pandering for sales.

I’ll give it to Blackie, he’s got a good ear for behind the boards. He knows where to put the vocals and, dammit, if those drums are gonna have echo then they are going to slam.
This is as 80s metal as one can get and not step into a time machine.
