Just when you think a sound is completely played out…
Clean, crisp, clear production goes a long way. This is still a relic of a time and a style that I just don’t understand, I guess. It’s more Misfits (See “Seekers of the Truth”) and Fear than Dead Kennedys, who were really a surf punk band with a definite political/social point of view. Cro-Mags sound like they have something to say but it hews closer, vocally, to the stuff I didn’t care about in Black Flag.
