Outsider
After this record, leader Stephen Hatty would briefly become the lead singer for a version of The Guess Who. This record is a sort of minor spawning ground for other groups. It was formed out of the dissolution of a project called Soma with future members of Streetheart and Loverboy and, as mentioned, The Guess Who.
This was to serve as the soundtrack for a movie that never materialized, hence the name.
Everything here is competent but unfocused and I guess that’s to be expected since it was supposed to fill scene time. But they are all actual songs so there must be a narrative and I can’t suss it out, except the first song has a distinct Christian rock feel to it.
