I can’t even begin to describe this without invoking David Bowie. Cuz it sounds like he’s on a variable speed turntable covering Sparks doing disco. 

This wants so badly to come across as important but I just want to fire up “You Spin Me Round” and get up and dance and wash this out of my ears. 

It’s not awful, it’s just boring. 

And I don’t know why I referenced Dead or Alive but that’s what this brought to mind. 

Also, this is, at times, atrociously boring.

It’s got more angular funk bass lines than RHCPs could ever have imagined in 1980. If fact, if you told me that Flea had this record I would not be surprised for one second.
