This whole album reminds me of Superman IV. Long after the primary movers and creative directors have left the Superman project the star still wants to press on, maybe even has some ideas he’d like to put into motion but doesn’t have the same skill set beyond what brought him success in the first place. The result? A pale, unimpressive version of the original.
That’s this record.
But, damn…that title…it’s like he knows that what he’s doing is just masturbating. That would also suggest that this experience is enjoyable for him but, like the act, it’s not really something many others should be party too.
