The 1980 Listening Post - Point Blank - The Hard Way

Point Blank - The Hard Way

#126
1980 Housekeeping
Point Blank
The Hard Way
Genre: Southern Rock
3.5 out of 5

Highlights:

Requisite 80s cover:
Deep Purple’s “Highway Star”. It’s a live cut, which is something this band apparently did a lot, put live cuts on their regular albums. I guess they were a good live band that didn’t really translate to studio records. It’s a pretty dynamite version that honors the original well. It’s the best track on the album.

I don’t have a super lot to say about this record. It’s not available anywhere. It’s rather uninspired. There are songs on it. And a lot of boogie guitar.
But that is one awesome vibrate the lead singer has. Wouldn’t surprise me if he could have made a dent on the Great White Way.
I like it better than .38 Special, though, whom they opened for.
