What the hell are The Replacements, anyway? Are they a punk band? Cow-punk? Do they secretly wanna be a country band? Can they actually write songs? Are they just a bunch of drunk guys who shambolically stumble around in a studio while someone presses play and when they have enough songs, they put out an album?
That’s what Hootenanny sounds like. I really liked Sorry, Ma, but after the highly mediocre Stink and this, I’m losing my patience with these guys.
