This is the sound of music made by the kids who were abducted by Kinko the Clown and grew up to try to work out their issues with music. The Bow Wow Wow/Adam Ant/Burundi Beat of “More Money” & “Jimmy Jive Jive” are such obnoxious and odious rip offs that its doubly offensive that the songs are so boring.
This prefab mess is an aural assault. I’ve never been happier that a group ceased to record after a debut release.
On their hit, “John Wayne is Big Leggy” Jeremy Healy of Haysi Fantayzee[2] said, “It was an allegory for treatment of which the white settlers used, but on the Native American Indians. However, I wrote it like John Wayne having anal sex with a squaw. I thought this was hilarious!”
