Sense the Adventure

It’s hard to write albums. Hell, it’s hard to write songs. Especially when you write one that’s so surprising and of its time like Reach the Beach and everyone what’s you to follow it up and be just as fantastic the next time. If you’re realllllllllly good, you blow people away and are accused of copying yourself. If not, you get called a pale version of yourself.
That’s Walkabout.
It’s like Peter Gabriel light. Howard Jones…ish.
But I enjoyed it.

Less Cities, More Moving People
Question
Are We Ourselves?

Reach the Beach was really good.
This is like they reached the beach and got a record contract and were told, “go make that stuff you make so we can try to sell it and all make some dough.” And they did. And it all sounds perfectly Fixx-like, with it’s groovy basses and faux-funky rhythms. Put it on, you’ll forget it’s there. I did.
And then I tuned back in and I liked what I was hearing.
Harmless.
