Something changed between 1982 and 1984. The experimental gang of artists sound of Set gave way to a radio friendly sound, brass ring grabbing, record selling singles.
It worked.
This album starts out strong and runs out of ideas as the second half has one toe in the past but struggles because it’s trying to be accessible. Listen to the highlights and go back and listen to Set.
