Just in time for the Christmas gifting rush of 1983….it’s Leo Sayer! The Australian invasion continues. Someone thought it would be a good idea to out this guy on a merry go round for the cover and that person should be incarcerated.
This is the end credits music for a heartwarming (read:treacly and bad) Christmas film about a sweet drunk dying of cancer who finds happiness for the first time when he bonds with a family who finds him stumbling on their lawn. It stars Dudley Moore, Melinda Dillon and some rando teenage kid who starred in a couple bad sci fi flicks and then disappeared until he appears on a Buzzfeed list and, wow! He’s an entertainment attorney now!
There is a fucking song written by historian/journalist Thurston Clarke. “Aviation” isn’t good and it isn’t listed on Clarke’s website but…how? Why?
This turgid collection is almost 60 minutes long. I guarantee you even Leo’s mother was, like, “enough”.

I blame the Bee-Gees and Air Supply for opening these floodgates.
