Jeez, these songs don’t go anywhere. What is Vega doing here? Besides desperately trying to be “futuristic retro rocker man”? He’s terrible at it.
I wondered why this sounded like a Cars inspired band. Go figure, Ric Ocasek produced it. And co-wrote some of it.
Snooze.
If you liked Suicide (I was not really a fan) this is new wave version. Specifically designed to be more accessible. On that front it fails spectacularly.
Alan Vega never met a chorus or a bridge he couldn’t ignore.
