My only experience with The Flesh Eaters is that they were name dropped by X in “I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts” but that wasn’t enough for me to go out and seek their music. Halfway through I get it. You’re like a screaming vampire/werewolf man. This should all be set to video shot by Ray Dennis Steckler. I didn’t miss much. This is so Mojo Nixon meets noise punk I can’t stand it. Better yet, it’s Sonic Youth, if they were a west coast hardcore band. Trouble is, almost every song that starts with promise, like “Fistful of Vodka”, “Every Time I Call Your Name” and “We’ll Never Die”, is marred as soon as Chris Desjardins starts singing. Oh well. Hello, dustbin…
