After two stellar metal entries, helping laying the groundwork for Metallica and Megadeth and all that would come after it’s hard for me to see Forged in Fire and anything but a wearing out of welcome. This is Spinal Tap made real. Is it a joke? No? Toss this in the Saxon bin.
Many of the songs start out really promising…and then the lyrics start and it’s just awful. But when the focus is on shredding and pounding, it almost sounds like vintage Anvil.
