That first two tracks…they remind me…of…Frightened Rabbit. It’s manic and percussive and angular and I want all of it injected into my veins.
You know what? You could pluck this album out and pop it onto a 2010s new music playlist and I bet you no one would suspect it’s 33 years old. Seriously. It doesn’t really sound like anything else from the era.
Mayyyyybe “Love Affair with Everyday Living” as it sounds a bit too Adam Ant for it’s own good.
There’s nothing that would have been a hit on radio/MTV when it came out, i think but, in the 00s, this thing would have been a blogosphere success.
