Requisite 80s Cover:
“Gonna Get Close to You” by Dalbello. I’ve never heard the original but QRs version is stalkeriffic.
I haven’t heard something in the prog rock world as poundiogly ominous as “Gonna Get Close to You”, and most of it is because of Tate’s alternating between low register stalker and Dio-esque soaring histrionics.
The rest of the record leans too hard on the metal and not enough on the prog and isn’t that interesting to me.
