From what I gather, Kim Fowley tried this again with another bunch of girls in Los Angeles.
I have never ever heard of this group.
Take the weakest parts of Runaways, The Go-Gos, Suzi Quatro and that’s what you get here. It’s as if the impresario has run out of gas.
There’s some good, glammy stuff here, to be sure.
Has there been a documentary about Fowley? I never met him but I did stand in line for a Bruce Springsteen convert about 20 feet behind him. He wasn’t waiting on line. He was making his way in to the concert arena.
I would say we should talk about him more…but he was a pedophiliac rapist, by all accounts, so maybe it’s better if we don’t.
Trouble is, a lot of this is middling Blondie at best. There’s no bite.
