El Dorado
This sounds like every other band that wanted to sound like Thompson Twins or Culture Club in their heyday. That heyday was half decade gone. But they also draw on the no longer edgy rhythms of Bow Wow Wow or Adam and the Ants.
That said, it’s a lovely record at times, like on “Wide Sargasso Sea” and the hit single “El Dorado”.
This style will morph into boy band in no time.
