Some Guys Have All The Luck
I can not begin to describe my enmity toward Rod’s new wave techno interpretation of Free’s “All Right Now”. He seems determined to turn it into Robert Palmer, circa “Looking for Clues” and it just doesn’t work. But, hey, at least there’s horns.
His version of “Some Guys Have All the Luck” is less a testament to DiscoWave Rod than it is to Jeff Fortgang, who wrote it a decade before. It’s just a good song. Almost wrecked by Rod.
I have less and less to say about Rod Stewart with each passing album.
