Taking the psychedelic sounds of the sixties but running them through the 80s sheen machine, adding as much bass as possible, and providing as much britpop s as can be squeezed on to one platter, that’s this record to me.
It’s all very echoey and filled with subdued bombast, but it amounts to thin gruel.
