A Certain Ratio - Sextet
January 27 1982
A Certain Ratio
Sextet
Genre: Post Rock w/slappy bass
2 out of 5
A Certain Ratio is back with the same formula: Rhythms, sloppy bass and nearly on key and too ethereal by half vocalizations. This is the branch of New Wave that was made poppy by Adam and Malcolm but also hews to the punk aesthetic of The Slits.
It’s rare for me to say this but, I will happy to never hear this record again.
I did not miss out on A Certain Ratio. I certainly did not.
