The 1981 Listening Post - Fast - Leather Boys in the Asphalt Jungle

Fast - Leather Boys in the Asphalt Jungle

Fast

Leather Boys in the Asphalt Jungle

Genre: Trash Glam Punk

2.5 out of 5

Highlights:

Ritual Sacrifice

Requisite 80s Cover: A punky version of “Paint it Black” which is what you’d expect if I told you this was a punk band from New Jersey. (I do not know where they are from)

After this record these guys would become a disco group called Man 2 Man.

In a way they remind me of a merging of Misfits and Pansy Division and New York Dolls

This group seems to want to be a Goth punk thing with drama and flair. They aren’t too bad at it. But they don’t really seem to have any ideas beyond pummeling bass and snarly
