Requisite 80s cover: A mid-tempo and kind of sexless “Stop in the Name of Love” that really really really wants to be sexy. 

I guess there used to be a band called Rock Rose.

I guess they changed their name to the much more generic Small Talk.

I guess they had a record deal.

I guess they put this record out in the hopes that someone would hear something they liked and make them stars. 

Keep guessing, guys.

They don’t get out of the doldrums until the final track on side one. And, while it’s not great, it at least has some life. 

This band seems to want to be a band just to be a band. 

Wonder what happened to any of them.
