There exists two parts to Gordon Gano's brain. One of them is his desire to be accepted as a pop song writer and the other is the part that allowed him to craft some of the best songs of angst and religion of the last 50 years. On this album, Half Japanese shows us what the other side of that brain would look like if not fettered by, you know, craft and musicians like Brian ______.
No, Gano has nothing to do with this. In fact, it's Jad fair, who has had a working relationship with Daniel Johnston (which should be no surprise) but, dammit, this sounds like Femmes unhinged, listen to that title track? It's the Horns of Dilemma unleashed!
As much as I HATED their last album, I kind of like this. I don't love it but I could see returning to it one day.

This album is the second side of this compilation.
