Cherry Beach Express
Might as Well Be On Mars

"Ca Plane Pour Moi".
For all intents and purposes New Wave could've ended where it started. (The judges would accept "Video Killed the Radio Star", but Plastic Bertrand's song is better. Don't @ me)
Why did I bring that up?
It's that super tight, almost airless, angular soulless but heartfelt sound that I loved and The Pukka Orchestra wants to play in that sandbox.
Also, Monte Video and the Cassettes. "Shoop Shoop Diddy Wop Cumma Cumma Wang Dang", anyone?
Phil n the Blanks' "My Vascectomy".
At least that's my take after the first few songs, then the band takes a left turn into 6-string buskers on "Might as Well Be On Mars" and I'm confused. I can't figure them out. I like that I can't figure them out.
