The Saddest Girl in the World
As New Wave Cow-Punk goes, this is fine. It's not really earth shattering. Supposedly it's not as great as their debut (which we missed in 1983!) and it doesn't sound...bad, per se. it just sounds polished and unexciting. What they do is good, it just isn't great. There's more cow-punk on the horizon and that stuff is actually fun.
I feel about this the way I do about Aztec Camera. It's fine. I think there's better stuff out there. You can't fault it but I see no reason to want to experience more.
During a time of great experimentation or big big 80s this falls between the cracks.
The first album is mixed in here. I only listened to the tracks from this album. So, ymmv.
