This is the Way
if anyone was wondering who the REAL songwriter was in the Jam…it’s still Paul Weller. But that doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything to enjoy on this handful of 80s pop rock offerings.
I could’ve heard “This is the Way” on some lesser Jam album…and (“My Imagination S.O.S.” definitely is following Weller’s trail into big horn, big 80s style.
Is this great? No. If it was I imagine Foxton wouldn’t have waited 28 years to make another solo record.
It’s fine. Try the Highlights before putting the whole thing on.
