Highlights: Smuggler’s Blues
Take Nick Gilder. Strip him of his smarts and style and ability and guile and you get Glenn Frey’s “Sexy Girl”, a “not child in the city”, if you will.
Take Eagles apart and you are left with…this.
If the album’s treacle didn’t turn you off, the hyper jingo-ism of “Better in the USA” will send you reeling. I never thought I’d long for Al Stewart.
This is just as poor as his debut solo record.
