I’ve never heard of these guys. I don’t even think they ended up on the 10 disc New Wave retrospective that came out in the 90s. Weird, though, since they sound like they invented early 80s New Wave. With one foot firmly planted in 60s garage rock that was the sound that was the firmament for much of that sound.
There is nothing wrong here, it’s just that it’s close to heartland sound but refuses to go there all the way. It’s too bad. Farm Aid was just around the corner.
