Mink DeVille has never failed to impress. I first heard them on this 78-82 project and each album is crisp and good and pops with great stuff. In a way he’s like Springsteen without all the weight. of the world. Does that make sense? Anyway, this is a bit different from the last few albums as the band has broken up and Willy’s driving the car here. Subsequently this has a much more latin feel to it. And nothing suffers because of it. It’s another excellent offering from the T Bone Burnett of the New York rock scene, barely recognized by a public who should’ve made him a star.
