Like funky Thomas Dolby but With deep rhythms and gorgeous hues. This album rewards the more you listen and further it goes. I have to wonder how many people just bought it for the singles and were surprised by just how good the rest of it is. The self importance almost overwhelms the rest of the album. Almost.
