This is the classic, right? One of the granddaddies of the movement?
Okay, I’ll be back in a half hour. (Maybe sooner)
Where Dead Kennedy’s took a political position and incorporated surf rock into punk and X was basically a cow-punk band that decided to be beat poets, this is just thrash. No nuance, no fun. I don’t know why it’s so heralded. Sure, “Kids of the Black Hole” isn’t terrible. But that’s because it, and “No Friends” relie so hard on their bass-lines which are each searching for a melody to belong to.
The rest?
Meh. It’s boring.
