McCartney ditties. What’s not to like?
Y’know, Michael Jackson also duetted with Freddie Mercury on a couple tracks for the Hot Space sessions. Only one was released a couple years ago. Michael was making the rounds, I guess.
I can’t tell if “Say Say Say” is any good. It was just so ubiquitous in 83-84 that it’s one of those “pounded into my skull” songs/videos that I like it in spite of itself.
As for the rest of the album? Some of it is quite fun pop, like the bouncy “Keep Under Cover” & “Average Person”, some of it is treacly garbage, like “So Bad”, which is So Bad or the other MJ duet, “The Man” (Did you know there was ANOTHER Jackson duet? No? It’s disposable crap.)
