I hated the show “Scrubs”. I’m not a fan of broad humor where no one acts like real people. I can’t care about anybody. And the humor doesn’t land for me.
But, one episode that was on my radar featured Colin Hay as a patient in a wheelchair, singing “Overkill” as he was wheeled around. That version of that song was awesome. And it was the only moment of the show I cared about.
Cargo came out just as High School was ending, my friend, Peter, loved this band. He was disappointed by the record. Peter and I were only close for the last 4 months of High School. He died this past year. Pancreatic cancer. He was one of the best people I’ve known.
Hard to be objective here.
Okay. Not really hard at all. I’ve never heard this before. It’s a perfectly excellent collection of modest and well crafted adult pop rock. It’s never cloying and it’s always fun.
