Zero the Hero
Yuck.
This album was really supposed to be a “supergroup” of sorts once Ian Gillan joined but it’s just an ugly mess. It’s not Sabbath. It’s a bizarre speed metal mess that sounds like it was recorded in a tunnel.
I hated it the first time I heard it (and after the excellent doubleshot of Heaven and Hell & Mob Rules, such a letdown) and I hate it now.
Trivia: The song “Stonehenge” resulted in the hilariously catastrophic stage presentation of the iconic destination but the sets were too big to get in to an area. Spinal Tap played on this brilliantly by going the other way, equally as stupid in its excess.
Whatever the fuck “Disturbing the Priest” is I don’t know. But the fact that I’ve heard it more than once in my life now should bring me an army of sympathetic shoulders.
I do sort of like “Zero the Hero”, though.
