I gotta admit. I like it if a record opens with a shout. I like songs that do it, too, most notably Sweet’s “Hellraiser”. 

This record opens with a terse one but that sort of sets the tone, no?

And from there is boogie glam rock that is almost rifftastic. By that I mean, the riffs, when they are employed, are toe tapping and energetic, if unmemorable.

But it’s not Bandit bad. Quite the contrary. I think these guys might have had a hit song in them somewhere, they certainly have the energy. Of course, being from Australia, how would we have ever heard of them unless ACDC took them on tour with them.

They should have. 

I’ve never heard a blues breaking rock tune about incest before. Thanks for that, “Chinese Dunkirk”.
