The 1980 Listening Post - Speedway Blvd - Speedway Blvd

Speedway Blvd - Speedway Blvd

1980 Housekeeping

Speedway Blvd

Speedway Blvd

Genre: Rock

3 out of 5

Highlights:

Speedway Blvd.

Chinatown

Musically, with the sputters and breaks and keyboard solos and a lead singer who could be Sammy Hagar’s younger cousin, Speedway Blvd explodes with a bang. And it doesn’t really let it up with a spot on, reach for the brass ring, surging 80s axe-attack complete with soulful vocals and dynamite precision playing.

This is a bunch of session guys who were put together for this project and the music is perfect for what it is, a 707 or Shooting Star sort of joint.

But, thing I, I like that kind of cheese.

Missing one track so…
