Oh, I do love it when a band starts off an an album with a growly “Rock and roll!!!!”
The guitarist here worked with Ian Gillan from Deep Purple for a small wee bit in the 90s.
This is straight up boogie rock with lead licks a plenty.
Trouble is the songs are kind of trash. “You’re My Best Friend” is a terrible tune, especially considering that John Deacon turned in a Power Pop classic with the same title just 5 years before.
