Old Sailor’s Dream

We’re getting in the weeds, folks. As you can tell there have been a handful of self-produced records on the list and this is another. This one is out of Indiana. And there is almost no info about them at all.

These guys love their Zeppelin, obvi. Which makes them of the wrong time in 1980.

But they also dig their Styx, as evidenced by “Sweet Lady”.  And that clammy Queen, which “Eddie Canasta” calls to mind, from the Night at the Opera era.

Everything is close but also way out of time.

But, if you hang with it, these guys know what they are doing and have something to add to the prog rock/classic rock conversation.

Not terrible.

I didn’t hate a single song on this thing.
