Jay’s 4th solo album is kind of a pub rock/Peter Wolf-ian turkey. It’s so 80s rock it almost hurts and it probably should have been sold with a pair of day-lo shades and a shirt that said, “No, this is not a Glenn Frey record. But, you should buy that one instead.”
But I don’t feel bad for Jay. He wrote the theme song to The Office. He’s got those sweet, sweet NBC Theme Song Royalties. He’s fine.
