So, how many times did these lads listen to The Cure’s Seventeen Seconds before they went in the studio?
Hey, imitation is the sincerest for of flattery and, as a launching pad, you could do worse.
If you loved Seventeen Seconds and missed it and wanted more and there were no demos or b-sides or alternate takes, this would be the placeholder.
All of that said, as placeholders go, this one is pretty great.
Party Day was too late to the party, though. There was no way this was getting any traction in 85.
I really like it, though.
