Andrew’s Rating: 5 out of 5 and I’m not giving this rating lightly. This is a stunningly great debut album.

So, 12 year old Andrew, still being a bit intimidated by girls, was not a Pretenders fan with their “chick” lead singer.
What a dumbass 12 year old Andrew was! This is one solid album! Seriously, not a bad track to be found!  Chrissie Hynde is a bonafide rock Goddess, the lyrics are intelligent, the hooks and riffs aplenty, and the album is stuffed with an ethereal, shimmering guitar tone.
You know the hits, especially Brass in Pocket. The rest of the tracks are just as solid. Catchy as hell and just great, solid, well-written rock and roll music.
