Released: April 20 1980 Andrew Gold Whirlwind Genre: Pop Rock Rating: 2.75 out of 5 I don’t know Gold and I have no idea why he was able to put out 4 records culminating in this bland Martin Briley sounding piece of tripe. The songs are boring and uninspired, as is the playing and the production. (oh…he wrote “Thank You for Being a Friend”. Okay.) Whatever hits he had in him were gone by this record. Yawn. Tell what this was good for, though. I plugged my guitar into my Mustang Micro and practice lead licks to it. They were more interesting than the songs.
