You know who we don’t talk about enough? Martin Briley? Actually, that’s not true. I bring him up a lot. Because I think he’s an amazing songsmith. Why am I bringing him up? Stan reminds me of Martin. Like, I bet he writes better songs for other people but his are really lacking. And, sure enough, here’s his version of “One Chance” which was recorded the same year by Eddie Money and it wasn’t great there, either.
But, that’s what Meissner sounds like: A second rate Eddie Money. Or a Male Canadian Dianne Warren.
This puts the M in MOR.
