Anyone know who this guy is? He should have punched whoever mixed the bass as high as it is. Besides that…this is the first album in 1981 that I would recommend listening to whilst as high as you can. Brooks fancies himself a Vai and he’s not far off. In a lot of ways it reminds me of…wait for it…King Gizzard.
The whole record is an excuse for Terry to solo. He’s kind of terrific at it but, that’s all it is. Until he decides that he’s a love balladeer trying to channel Randy California.
There are few things as awful as “My Lady and Me” and “Love of the Ages”.
