It’s 1980 so the Power Pop is strong but, not all of it is great. Parts of this album crackle with post-glam delicious hooks and energy. When it hits, it’s Jacksonlicious. When it doesn’t, which is often, it makes you wonder why they had such a long caree—

Ok.
They wanna be The Jam, just listen to “Sound of Today” but, even the Jam stopped wanting to be The Jam in a couple years and The Vapors had that avenue covered.
Also, the production is terrible. Muddy. Made doubly so now that Apple Music introduced “Lossless” and “Spatial Audio”. It’s a chore to listen to at times.
