How about Steve Lukather? Uh uh.
Wait, wait, wait…Tom Scott? Still not surprised.
Then Al Jarreau won’t shock you, either. Not even that Al plays “vocal flute”.
This is a band that wants so badly to be Steely Dan and comes across as 3rd rate Toto. Or America. Or Bread. It’s just like all that stuff.
Competent, open shirted, chest haired, sunglasses on stage and bell bottomed rock.
I don’t know who brought the cocaine to the studio for the Tommy Shaw-ish “Automatic” but whoever it was should have brought more.
