This sounds like a pop Genesis where Tony Banks had too much time in the studio with his keyboards.
It takes all the way to the end of Side One to actually…rock. “Moves” comes very late, almost like they were embarrassed to show that they are actually a rock band and not just all synths!
Hey! Mondo Rock! You put this entire record in the wrong order.
Dammit.
Side Two starts off rocking a lot harder than Side One ever could have imagined.
Dammit.
It’s pretty pedestrian but down under it made a bit of a splash. And I would happily pogo to “Mondo Sexo”.
