requisite 80s Cover: “Everybody’s Talkin’”. faithful but also right in their 80s roots rock wheelhouse.
I saw this band referred to as C&W Blondie and yeah, I guess so. It’s definitely closer to New Wave than it is to, say, Lone Justice. It’s also not nearly as sexy or emotional. Much more laconic and sometimes actually dull.
This record is so disjointed and without cohesion and that would be fine if the songs were there. But they’re not.
Rubber Rodeo is the Quarterflash of Lone Justices.
