Take Peter Gabriel’s “Biko” and ask Air Supply to interpret it as though they were a Police cover band.
Or take a host of 80s issues bands and run them through the Phil Collins drum machine.
The damned shame of this is that, if you never heard any bass-driven synth bands of the 80s, they might sound pretty okay.
Holy shit! You know who they sound like!?!?
Listen to “Modern Times” and tell me you don’t hear The Airborne Toxic Event!
Maybe this is better if we had the actual album and not a cobbled together version based on live tracks. I don’t know.
It’s ATE. I give them extra points for that.
